Quilled cacti are fun to make using several different quilling techniques including the ever popular frilly flowers - see my project on pages 61 to 63 of the July issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine. 

 

Quilled Easter Bunnies

These Fluffy Friends are quilled Easter Bunnies and can be found in Crafts Beautiful March issue out now - pages 39 to 41

Teatime Treats

It was fun to create this project for Crafts Beautiful magazine with quilled cupcakes, teacups and takeaway coffees - a sign of the times when we can only meet friends outside for a hot drink and cake. This project is in Crafts Beautiful Issue January 2021 Pages 49 to 51 

Winter Wreaths

Paper quilling is used for a modern wreath card in this months Crafts Beautiful magazine. My project "Winter Spells" features on the front cover and on pages 65 to 67 inside the magazine with full instructions. The flowers are moderately time consuming to make but certainly worth it for a special card. 

Bloom'in Lovely

Folded roses are a technique some find tricky at first but then get addicted to - here narrow 5mm wide paper is used for rambling roses on garden shed and sun house cards in Crafts Beautiful magazine, June issue out now. The blue shed with yellow roses is on the cover of the magazine, and is an ideal make for this sunny summer weather 🌞

Isabel's Birthday Quilling

A quilled picture for birthday girl Isabel this week. The outlining of the letters takes the time and then the filling in is the fun part - silver edged papers were used for a few highlights.  

Floral Affair

Using a quilling comb makes lovely looped shapes for petals as shown in my project in the latest issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine Pages 38 to 29 

Daffodil Time

Daffodils are flowering outside in the Spring sunshine and my quilled daffodils can be seen in the March issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine pages 50-51 with full instructions.

New Home

Always a nice surprise to see my quilling on the cover of Crafts Beautiful magazine, as I never know until the magazine drops through my letter box! Here these quilled birds make cute new home cards - see pages 42-43 for instructions. 

Dragonflies and Butterflies

Quillers never tire of butterflies and dragonflies! There are hundreds of different ways to quill them and here rainbow coloured quilling papers are used for an eye-catching design - they can be see on pages 55 to 57 of the latest issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine January 2020.  

Spring Primroses

In the December 2019 Issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine my quilled primrose style flowers can be found on pages 57-59. These flowers used traditional quilled coils outlined with shaped loops using a quilling tower. The quilling towers are plastic with ridges of varying sizes and they come in round, oval, teardrop, square and other shapes. I find them a very useful addition to my quilling tools and use them alot!

Pink and red quilled poinsettias

These quilled poinsettias feature in the November 2019 issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine out now - instructions and more designs can be seen on pages 57-59 

Woolly Quilling

For this project in Crafts Beautiful I aimed to use the "beehive" quilling method to create the feel of woolly-ness for the mittens and stockings. The technique uses a strip of paper coiled this way and that with a quilling tool and I was really pleased with the final effect. See this "Delicate Delights" project in the Xmas 2019 edition of Craft Beautiful magazine pages 58-59.

Quilled Watering Cans

In the hot weather we have in the UK at the moment many of us are reaching for watering cans every evening. These quilled watering cans I created for the August issue of Crafts Beautiful magazine out now, are ideal for keen gardeners birthdays and garden celebrations. 

Sumer workshops

Two very successful workshops last week with the WI (Women's Institute)  - the groups worked hard and made several cards in the sessions learning open coils, tight coils and pinched coils. As per usual time flies and we only just got to fringed flowers...
