Paper Cut Flower

It has been a while since I posted a photo of a paper cut flower, one of my favourite cards to make listening to the radio. Yes each petal is cut and glued on individually to make the flower.

A batch of flower cards were made at the weekend and here are ready to send off - yes each petal is cut and glued on by hand individually and the cards are 10cm square, but doesn't take as long as it looks!

Paper Tree

It has been a while since a paper cut tree has featured here but couldn't resist making a few recently, as quite a few birthdays in February and these are relaxing to make. 

Pastel Tree

Its been a while but a favourite technique of mine to make a Papercut tree from pastel patterned papers, small cut out leaves and tiny butterflies. 

Christmas Robins

A rabble of Christmas Robins hand cut from brown and red card, wings also cut out but not showing up due to such dark light for photographs.

Looks like everyone with birthdays in May are getting paper cut tree cards...

Stormy weather

Stormy weather on monday with winds of 60mph here, leaves and branches everywhere with some trees down. 

Pink Patterned Tree

Its been a while since paper cutting has been featured, so today a pink patterned tree was cut out with matching panel. 

Papercut flowers

Paper cutting is very popular at the moment with very intricate examples all over the web, its not as easy as it might look and cutting off a vital element is common - a quick and simple version today. 

Bird Grid

These 9 papercut birds should be quick and easy but it took time to arrange the colours and patterns - lots of birds left over for the next card.

Paper cut owls

Owls are always popular and seem to be in lots of Christmas designs this year, so a couple of hand cut owls sit in trees. 

Wiggly eyes are cute and add movement, but they make a card bulky for postage. 

The card below was photo'd inside in a light box for a noctural effect!

For todays card two birds are cut out from an old paper book, with wings and leaves cut by hand, from left over pieces of patterned paper. More leaves may be added....
