Cut flower cards

A batch of flower cards were made at the weekend and here are ready to send off - yes each petal is cut and glued on by hand individually and the cards are 10cm square, but doesn't take as long as it looks!

Three quilts for three babies

I've made three small quilts in the past 6 months for friends babies: Iris, Orla and Tom. All using the same fabric designs but all slightly different.
The fabric is "sea view" by Makower UK. My next project is to try making bibs with the leftover fabrics!

Mermaid quilling

Crafts Beautiful July issue issue features my mermaids on pages 24 and 25. The three mermaids show the variation between using many smaller coils for a dense mermaid tail, to medium sized coils to larger coils for a quicker version of the mermaid. I still can't make up my mind which size of coil works best. I do know that the curly hair looks lovely on all three mermaids.

Feast of Food and Drink by Jo Richardson

Jo Richardson is the wonderful editor who has worked on most of my books, her attention to detail is amazing so I was really pleased to see her own creation "The Isle of WIght Feast of Food and Drink" !
This is a lovely book of recipes with fabulous photography that Jo has put so much hard work in to. Although I have never met Jo as we have corresponded by email for 15 years, I feel that I know Jo and the Isle of Wight through this book and will be baking a few cakes following the delicious recipes.

Quilling Close Up

A couple of close up photos of the quilled flowers and butterflies from my hanging picture project (June 2017 issue of Crafts Beautiful). A bit disconcerting seeing quilling much larger than life as a couple of errors and dots of glue are jumping out at me now! However, back at 3mm scale they aren't noticeable so not to worry!😉
