Quilled Snowflakes

Quilled snowflakes as shown in the latest edition of Crafts Beautiful magazine, out now. The weather has turned chilly and frosty here in the UK so it feels more like winter than it has done. With mince pies stacked high in the shops I made toppers for pies, cakes and muffins. Snowflakes are very popular in quilling, and I decided to layer up to add dimension to the card, shown here with three layers of coils. Unfortunately by the time the card is sent to the magazine, photographed and sent back to me, the items are not quite as perfect as they were on my workdesk!
