Quilled picture

The last day of November and lots of frills this friday to see the month out... this is a large quilled design of mine, measuring about 17inches or 44cm square, not including the frame. I estimate about 40 hours of work in total which was carried out on and off over several weeks. The quilling shapes are glued on to paper which is then "float" mounted in the frame to make it stand away from the background, and effect that I particularly like.

    I remember you saying this picture was big but that is huge! I love it, I think it's fab and well done you for finishing it.

    thanks Jill - my idea is to make a long thin version of this pitcure, but haven't worked up the courage to start the next one yet!
